Step 3 bis (option)

Joint presence — coordinated opening session

For particularly sensitive vaults, you can require recipients to submit their consent within the same time window. Like a formal opening ceremony at a notary's office.

The principle

Once the first share has been submitted, the other recipients have a limited window to submit theirs. Beyond that, the collected shares are purged and the procedure starts over. This forces active coordination: everyone must be available and present at the same time.

Four window durations offered

  • 5 minutes — Strict simultaneous session. Everyone on the phone or video call. Ideal for a true ceremony.
  • 1 hour — Scheduled appointment. Comfortable margin for delays and minor unforeseen events.
  • 24 hours — Possible even with time zone differences or temporary unavailability. Recommended by default.
  • 7 days — Tolerant to scheduling constraints (travel, childcare). Less constraining.
A concrete example: You want your 3 children to open your crypto wallets vault together, in your notary's office. You configure: quorum 3 of 3 + estate executor (your notary) + joint presence 1 hour. Everyone arrives at the appointment, the notary validates, the children submit their consents within minutes, the vault opens. If even one is absent or arrives more than an hour late, the session fails and a new appointment must be booked.
